γῆρας ἐμὸν δήθυνεν ἐπὶ χθονί: ἀντὶ δὲ πατρὸς
λᾶαν ἔχεις, τεκέων φίλτατε, Καισάριε.
τίς νόμος; οἷα δίκη; θνητῶν ἄνα, πῶς τόδ᾽ ἔνευσας;
ὦ μακροῦ βιότου, ὦ ταχέος θανάτου.
