Καισαρίου φθιμένοιο κατήφησαν βασιλῆος
αὐλαί, Καππαδόκαι δ᾽ ἤμυσαν ἐξαπίνης:
καὶ καλὸν εἴ τι λέλειπτο μετ᾽ ἀνθρώποισιν ὄλωλεν,
οἱ δὲ λόγοι σιγῆς ἀμφεβάλοντο νέφος.
