τίς θάνεν ὡς θάνε Νόννα, παρ᾽ εὐαγέεσσι τραπέζαις,
τῶν ἱερῶν σανίδων χερσὶν ἐφαπτομένη;
τίς λύσεν εὐχομένης Νόννης τύπον; ὡς ἐπὶ δηρὸν
ἤθελεν ἔνθα μένειν καὶ νέκυς εὐσεβέων.

Who died as Nonna died by the pure table, touching
with her hands the holy planks? Who dissolved the
form of Nonna as she was praying? For she wished
to tarry long here, pious even when she was a
corpse.
