Εὐφορίων, ὁ περισσὸν ἐπιστάμενός τι ποῆσαι,
Πειραϊκοῖς κεῖται τοῖσδε παρὰ σκέλεσιν.
ἀλλὰ σὺ τῷ μύστῃ ῥοιὴν ἢ μῆλον ἄπαρξαι,
ἢ μύρτον καὶ γὰρ ζωὸς ἐὼν ἐφίλει.
