We are men in the evening when we drink to-
gether., but when day-break comes, we get up wild

Confusion avec Automedon

L'épigramme a longtemps été attribuée à Automédon, auteur de 12 épigrammes. Toutefois, Gow et Page, The Garland of Philip, p.17 : "This author's name is plainly written Ἀντιμέδοντος in both P. and Pl. There is no authority or reason for the universal modern ascription of this epigram to Automedon, whose name is never qualified as here by an ethnic."
