— Paton edition

A fisherman was toiling to catch fish when a
wealthy girl, seeing him, felt the pangs of love.
She made him her husband, and he exchanged his
poverty for a life boasting of every luxury. Fortune
stood by smiling, and said to Cypris : " This is not
your achievement, but mine."
