Μαντιάδας, ὦ ξεῖνε, καὶ Εὔστρατος, υἷες Ἐχέλλου,
Δυμαῖοι, κραναῇ κείμεθ᾽ ἐνὶ ξυλόχῳ,
ἄγραυλοι γενεῆθεν ὀροιτύποι. οἱ δ᾽ ἐπὶ τύμβῳ,
μανυταὶ τέχνας, δουροτόμοι πελέκεις.

and Eustratus of Dyme, the sons of Echellus, rustic
wood-cutters as our fathers were ; and to shew our
calling the woodman's axes stand on our tomb.
