Ἀίδῃ ὃς ταύτης καλαμώδεος ὕδατι λίμνης
κωπεύεις νεκύων βᾶριν,†ἐλῶν ὀδύνην,
τῷ Κινύρου τὴν χεῖρα βατηρίδος ἐμβαίνοντι
κλίμακος ἐκτείνας, δέξο, κελαινὲ Χάρον

πλάζει γὰρ τὸν παῖδα τὰ σάνδαλα: γυμνὰ δὲ θεῖναι
ἴχνια δειμαίνει ψάμμον ἔπ᾽ ᾐονίην.
