ἀνεῖλεν ἀσπὶς τὸν σοφὸν Δημήτριον
ἰὸν ἔχουσα πολὺν
ἄσμηκτον, οὐ στίλβουσα φῶς ἀπ᾽ ὀμμάτων,
ἀλλ᾽ ἀίδην μέλανα.
