— Paton edition

May holy Adrasteia preserve thee, and Nemesis,
the maiden who treadeth in our track, she who has
cheated many. I fear for thy body's lovely form, Ο
youth ; for thy mental gifts and the strength of thy
divine courage, for thy learning and thy prudent
counsel. Such we are told, Drusus,¹ are the children
of the blessed immortals.
