ὅν πόλεμος δεδιὼς οὐκ ὤλεσε, νῦν ὑπὸ νούσου
θλίβομαι, ἐν δ᾽ ἰδίῳ τήκομ᾽ ὅλος πολέμῳ.
ἀλλὰ διὰ στέρνων ἴθι φάσγανον ὡς γὰρ ἀριστεὺς
θνῄξομ᾽ ἀπωσάμενος καὶ νόσον ὡς πόλεμον.

by disease, and waste away by intestine warfare.
