Δαμὼ καὶ Μάθυμνα τὸν ἐν τριετηρίσιν Ἥρας
Εὔφρονα λυσσατὰν ὡς ἐπύθοντο νέκυν,
ζωὰν ἀρνήσαντο, τανυπλέκτων δ᾽ ἀπὸ μιτρᾶν
χερσὶ δεραιούχους ἐκρεμάσαντο βρόχους.
