λαῖλαψ καὶ πολὺ κῦμα καὶ ἀντολαὶ Ἀρκτούροιο,
καὶ σκότος, Αἰγαίου τ᾽ οἶδμα κακὸν πελάγευς,
ταῦθ᾽ ἅμα πάνθ᾽ ἐκύκησεν ἐμὴν νέα: τριχθὰ δὲ κλασθεὶς
ἱστὸς ὁμοῦ φόρτῳ κἀμὲ κάλυψε βυθῷ.

ναυηγὸν κλαίοιτε παρ᾽ αἰγιαλοῖσι, γονῆες,
Τλησιμένη, κωφὴν στησάμενοι λίθακα.
