ἐν τῷ Δορυλαίῳ
τὴν σορόν, ἣν ἐσορᾷς, ζῶν Μάξιμος αὐτὸς ἑαυτῷ
θῆκεν, ὅπως ναίῃ παυσάμενος βιότου:
σύν τε, γυναικὶ Καληποδίῃ τεῦξεν τόδε σῆμα,
ὣς ἵνα τὴν στοργὴν κἠν φθιμένοισιν ἔχοι.

The sarcophagus that you see was set here by Maximus during his life for himself to inhabit after his death. He made this monument too for his wife Calepodia, that thus among the dead he might have her love.
