λεπτὸς ἀνὴρ δέμας ἦν — εἰ μὴ προσέχῃς, ἀπόχρη μοι:
Στράτωνα τοῦτ᾽ οὖν φημί γε,
Λάμψακος ὃν ποτ᾽ ἔφυσεν ἀεὶ δὲ νόσοισι παλαίων
θνῄσκει λαθὼν, οὐδ᾽ ᾔσθετο.

Il était un petit homme ... Si tu ne m'ecoutes pas, cela
suffit. Celui dont je parle, c'est ce fameux Straton, à qui
Lampsaque jadis donna le jour : alors qu'il luttait sans cesse
contre les maladies, il mourut à l'improviste et ne s'en
aperçut pas.

Strato of Lampsacus was the director of the Peripatetic school after the death of Theophrastus (A.P. 7.110).
