μῆλον ἐγὼ στρούθειον ἀπὸ προτέρης ἔτι ποίης
ὥριον ἐν νεαρῷ χρωτὶ φυλασσόμενον,
ἄσπιλον, ἀρρυτίδωτον, ἰσόχνοον ἀρτιγόνοισιν,
ἀκμὴν εὐπετάλοις συμφυὲς ἀκρεμόσιν,

ὥρης χειμερίης σπάνιον γέρας; εἰς σὲ δ᾽, ἄνασσα,
τοίην χὠ νιφόεις κρυμὸς ὀπωροφορεῖ.
