Δείματό με ξυνοῖο παρὰ προθύροισι λοετροῦ
ἀστὸς ἀνήρ, ἀρετῆς εἵνεκεν, οὐκ ἔριδος.
κεῖνο μέλοι πλεόνεσσιν ἐγὼ δ᾽ ὀλίγοις τε φίλοις τε
ἐντύνω προχοὰς καὶ μύρα καὶ χάριτας,.
