τίνας ἂν εἴποι λόγους πρὸς Πρόκνην τὴν ἀδελφὴν Φιλομήλη
σός με πόσις κακοεργὸς ἐνὶ σπήλυγγι βαθείῃ
μουνώσας βαρύποτμον, ἐμὴν ἀπέκερσε κορείην
στυγνὰ δέ μοι πόρεν ἕδνα πολυτλήτοιο γάμοιο:
γλῶσσαν ἐμὴν ἐθέρισσε, καὶ ἔσβεσεν ἑλλάδα φωνήν.
