Στασίχορον, ζαπληθὲς ἀμέτρητον στόμα Μούσης,
ἐκτέρισεν Κατάνας αἰθαλόεν δάπεδον,
οὗ, κατὰ Πυθαγόρου φυσικὰν φάτιν, ἁ πρὶν Ὁμήρου
ψυχὰ ἐνὶ στέρνοις δεύτερον ᾠκίσατο.

Stesichorus, the vast immeasurable voice of the
Muse, was buried in Catana's fiery land, he in whose
breast, as telleth the philosopher Pythagoras, Homer's
soul lodged again.
