Ἀστεμφῆ ποδάγρην, καὶ δούνακας ἀνδικτῆρας,
καὶ λίνα, καὶ γυρὸν τοῦτο λαγωοβόλον,
ἰοδόκην, καὶ τοῦτον ἐπ᾽ ὄρτυγι τετρανθέντα
αὐλὸν, καὶ πλωτῶν εὐπλεκὲς ἀμφίβολον,

Ἑρμείῃ Σώσιππος, ἐπεὶ παρενήξατο τὸ πλεῦν
ἥβης, ἐκ γήρως δ᾽ ἀδρανίῃ δέδεται.
