Εἰνοδίη, σοὶ τόνδε φίλης ἀνεθήκατο κόρσης
πῖλον, ὁδοιπορίης σύμβολον, Ἀντίφιλος:
ἦσθα γὰρ εὐχωλῇσι κατήκοος, ἦσθα κελεύθοις
ἵλαος: οὐ πολλὴ δ᾽ ἡ χάρις, ἀλλ᾽ ὁσίη.μὴ δέ τις ἡμετέρου μάρψῃ χερὶ μάργος ὁδίτης

ἀνθέματος: συλᾶν ἀσφαλὲς οὐδ᾽ ὀλίγα.
Gardienne des routes, c'est à toi qu'Antiphilos a dédié ce bonnet de feutre, attribut du voyageur, dont il couvrait sa tête; tu as excaucé ses prières, tu l'as favorisé dans ses voyages; le présent n'est pas somptueux, mais c'est un pieux remerciement. Et qu'aucun passant ne s'avise de porter sur mon offrande une main sacrilège: il est dangereux dde voler ainsi, même peu de chose.
