πρίν σ᾽ ἐναλείψασθαι, Δημόστρατε, χαῖρ᾽, ἱερὸν φῶς,
εἰπὲ τάλας: οὕτως εὔσκοπός ἐστι Δίων.
οὐ μόνον ἐξετύφλωσεν Ὀλυμπικόν, ἀλλὰ δι᾽ αὐτοῦ
εἰκόνος ἧς εἶχεν τὰ βλέφαρ᾽ ἐξέβαλεν.
