αὐτὸς ἄναξ ἔμβαινε θοῷ πηδήματι, ληνοῦ
λακτιστής, ἔργου δ᾽ ἡγέο νυκτερίου,
λεύκωσαι πόδα γαῦρον, ἐπίρρωσαι δὲ χορείην
λάτριν, ὑπὲρ κούφων ζωσάμενος γονάτωνεὔγλωσσον δ᾽ ὀχέτευε κενούς, μάκαρ, ἐς πιθεῶνας

οἶνον ἐπὶ ψαιστοῖς καὶ λασίᾐ χιμάρῳ,

thy proud feet, and give strength to the dance thy
servant, girt up above thy active knees, and guide,
