μεσσηγὺς γαίης τε καὶ οὐρανοῦ ἵσταται ἀνήρ,
πάντοθεν ὀρνυμένους οὐ τρομέων ἀνέμους.


ἴχνια ῥιζώσας κίονι διχθάδια:
λιμῷ δ᾽ ἀμβροσίᾳ τρέφεται καὶ ἀπήμονι δίψῃ,
υἱέα κηρύσσων μητρὸς ἀπειρογάμου.
